At AlignX, your trust is our top priority. We protect the confidentiality of your personal and financial information, and this notice explains what we collect, how we use it, and how we safeguard it.

Advisory services. Investment advisory services are offered through Brookstone Capital Management LLC (BCM), an SEC-registered investment adviser, with accounts custodied at Charles Schwab. Eric K. Hall is an Investment Adviser Representative of BCM. Information collected in connection with advisory accounts is also governed by BCM’s Privacy Policy.

What Information We Collect

We collect information to serve your needs and to meet legal and regulatory requirements. This includes:

  • Account and application information: name, address, Social Security number, phone number, employment information, income, net worth, investment experience, and other details needed to service your account effectively. We may also obtain information from consumer reporting agencies.

  • Transaction information: securities purchased and sold, fund transfers, account balances, and other account activity.

  • Business consulting information: financial statements and operating data you share with us for consulting engagements. [Confirm this fits your practice.]

Who We Share Your Information With

We do not sell your personal financial information to anyone.

We share information only with outside companies that help us process transactions or service your account, such as the custodian that holds your assets and processes your trades, and other service providers that help administer your accounts. These companies may use your information only for the purpose it was provided.

We may also disclose information when permitted or required by law, such as in response to a subpoena or court order, or to cooperate with regulators, government authorities, or law enforcement. Outside of these circumstances, we will not share your personal information unless you ask us to.

How We Protect Your Information

We limit access to your personal financial information to people who need it to serve you. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect it. [Confirm any statement about staff training with BCM’s requirements.]

This policy applies to current and former clients. If it changes, we will notify you in writing and give you the opportunity to opt out.

Additional Information for California Residents

The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) gives California residents more control over their personal information (PII). You have the following rights.

Right to disclosure. You may request, free of charge, the categories and specific pieces of PII we collect about you or disclose to third parties for business purposes. We will verify your identity before responding. Requests cover the prior twelve months, and we are not required to respond more than twice in a twelve-month period. We will tell you:

  • The categories of personal information we collected about you

  • The categories of sources it came from

  • The business or commercial purpose for collecting it

  • The categories of third parties we share it with

  • The specific pieces of information we collected about you

Right to opt out of sale. We do not sell client information. If that ever changes, we will put policies in place to comply with the law and give you the ability to opt out.

Right to deletion. You may request that we delete PII we collected from you, and we will also direct our service providers to do so, unless the law restricts us. Because securities laws require registered investment advisers to keep certain records, some information cannot be deleted. Where we are not required to keep it, we will honor your request.

Non-discrimination. We will not discriminate against anyone who exercises these rights, as required by California Civil Code §1798.125.
